ERIC SEOHYUN MOON
Seohyun Moon (*1997) is a Violist from South Korea. Started as a Violin player, Mr. Moon has graduated “Kaywon School of Arts” and also made his way to “Seoul Arts High School”. During his attendance at Seoul Arts High School, he was fascinated to the sound of the Viola and eventually got to play it ever since. His first debut as a Solo Violist was at the "53rd Annual Concert of Seoul Arts High School", playing Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante(Concert Hall of Seoul Arts Center). During the same period, he was awarded as the ‘Honours of Seoul Arts High School’ and also made his first Solo Recital at Kumho Art Hall. He continued his studies at “Seoul National University” and served military duty at “Korea National Police Orchestra”. Mr. Moon was also awarded in many major competitions in Korea; 1st prizes of Dong-a Music Competition, Music Association of Korea, CBS Music Competition(Grand Prix), Strad Music Competition, Segye Daily Music Competition etc. He was also awarded as the 1st prize at the 24th “Gaetano Zinetti” Competition in Italy. He participated to the “Verbier Festival Academy” and took masterclasses from Antoine Tamestit, Lawrence Power, Lars Anders Tomter. Apart as a passionate Violist, Mr. Moon is also an influencer, being the founder of a classical social media page called “ClasscialMusicMatters” on Instagram.
He studied Viola with Prof. Myunghee Cho and Yoonji Kang in Korea. And he is currently in Berlin studying at the “Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin”, with Simone Jandl. |
