Giuseppe Gullotta, Sicilian pianist, is one of two Italian pianists selected to take part in the prestigious competition dedicated to Ferruccio Busoni in Bolzano, which takes place almost sixty years.
He graduated with honors from the Conservatory "Giuseppe Verdi" in Milan, where he also attended the Master's degree, and later received a Master of advanced specialization at the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome with Sergio Perticaroli. During his training he attended the Masters Weissemberg piano, Entremont, Lucchesini Mjerzanow Roux, Ciccolini and Pavarana.
He is among the winners of several competition: "Rachmaninoff Competition", "Mendelssohn's Cup", "City of Treviso", "City of Sulmona", "Bellini of Caltanissetta "," Bocchi Award" and "Viotti-Valsesia".
He has held over 100 concerts all over the world: Swope Hall West Chester, Steinway Hall in London, Salle Cortot in Paris, Dworku of Dusnikj Sdroj(in the Chopin Festival), Romano University of Bucharest, Lugano Auditorium, Room Puccini and Verdi Hall in Milan, Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Conservatorio Monteverdi di Bolzano.
He performed with Youth Symphony Orchestra, West Chester Orchestra, Berlin RIAS Orchestra, Orchestra Enescu, Orchestra Veneta Malipiero, Mihail Iora Orchestra and Orchestra of the work of Craiova, conducted by Tomasz Bugaj, Daisuke Soga, Ovidiu Balan, William Boughton.
He gave a tour of Ukraine in the same evening, playing the second and the third Concerto of Rachmaninoff.
He has recorded for Saturnia Editions and Tau Records and recorded for RAI, and RadioClassica RadioPopolare.
